"It’s a skill-building journey " - certainly. I think a lot of frustration among writers (among all people actually) comes from seeing it as a three-month project, rather than a five-year one. All the knowledge you could ever want is available, but you can't learn it all overnight.

I have made good money leveraging some of the copywriting proposals that you’ve outlined here.

Great job of creating an overview of skilled copywriting positions, which aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Cheers!

Good insights. My freelance writing for corporate marketing teams is incredibly profitable. It isn't the stuff I want to be writing, but it gives me financial space for my own writing.

I disagree that nobody is talking about ghostwriting. I hear about it a lot. But few people are willing to try it.

What about growing your Medium & Substack subscription list with paying subscribers? I haven’t come across anyone who talks about this is a real and unfiltered way. There’s a lot of smoke and mirrors at play in this realm. What say you?

Being a senior copywriter/brand consultant who's been around the block, so to speak, totally relate to this.

The only thing I wouldn't agree with is your point about ghostwriting. Seems to me everyone's talking about ghostwriting. I find the term a bit suspect myself.

Why are you a ghostwriter just because you write a company's newsletter? You're a copywriter. Anyway, semantics... it's clearly the new 'in' word to use.
